Since 1966, Clam Haven has been a local favorite serving up seafood, ice cream, burgers and hot dogs.

Located in Derry, New Hampshire, Clam Haven operates seasonally from March-October and offers window service and catering. Customers may also call ahead to place a to-go order.

Clam Haven was founded by Rick Metts. In 2020, Metts sold the business to Lisa DeSisto, a longtime Derry resident and owner of the local Rig A Tony’s Italian Takeout and Catering business. DeSisto and her team are incredibly grateful to keep the heart and soul of Clam Haven running.

We are dedicated to preserving many meaningful traditions, including serving beloved menu items (cue the onion rings and hot dog special!), dolling out sweet frozen treats, providing a fun and comfortable environment for families and offering jobs to local students.

We are also experimenting to help bring our customers new experiences. As of the 2021 season, we brought on new suppliers and added fresh menu offerings with the help of a seafood industry veteran: Jason Berkman, a former Legal Sea Foods’ Chef and Operations Director of 20 years who is also a dear friend and Derry resident.

Jason loves an old-fashioned clam shack, and his culinary know-how along with his supplier relationships allow us to bring you higher quality products. He’s helped develop a new “Seasonal offerings” section of our menu for those interested in trying new dishes or nutritional options. And, drawing on his many years hosting clambakes and entertaining guests outdoors, he’s helped us craft a new Catering menu that is sure to please any crowd.
